A movie telling us something, a bit romantic, about Norwegians recistance against the German during the second world war. A traditional war movie...

Another heroic wartime mission, this time in Norway, which had a large resistance so probably deserved more silver screen time than it received. This one is as entertaining as any other in the same genre and as usual follows a formulaic plot.

It takes a while to get into but once you get into it it's a really good adventure. There are some great scene especially scenes involving a chase on Skis, which is is shot excellently But some other scenes let the film down such as a scene involving the aerial bombing of a factory which is completely unrealistic. Richard Harris and Kirk Douglas play their roles extremely well and some of the scenes where the two are loggerheads are great, especially the dialogue.

This is a class movie which shows how Norwegian resistance movement managed to stop the Germans getting the atomic bomb. So it missed out few details you can't expect it to have every single detail. A great film which all war-film lovers should see because of content and the story.
