Loved it! A piece of history. I especially loved seeing Ray Bolger and Fanny Brice performing as themselves. Definitely one to add to my collection.

The overlong, but underwhelming "Great Ziegfeld" is a dated performing arts ordeal.

This 1930s musical should be awesome in the old days. I enjoy those dancings and singings as well. But I think the storyline is a little bit weak, though I am fond of musicals and biographies.

The interesting story of a Broadway producer who got by on gall and gusto and the easy way he had with (nicely) manipulating people. Luise Rainer deserved her Best Actress Oscar here, as far as I can tell. She was excellent, as was William Powell who starred in the much better "My Man Godfrey" in the same year as this came out. He's excellent, and I need to see more from him, especially some of the acclaimed "Thin Man" series.
