It’s slow--make that very slow--and the final half hour or so is mystifying and tedious. But it gorgeously recalls Fellini and “Koyaanisqatsi” and hauntingly pits ancient tradition against science, oppression and industrial rot.

very very beautiful. slow-moving and not a lot of special effects; a good story and well-presented. I would like to see this movie again.

entertaining, but very abstract. the scenes of open cut coal mines were eye opening.

This film is an art-house piece, so one must have that in mind prior to watching. It's a beautifully done film, reminded me of many French films. The ending is very metaphorical, so don't expect a nice, neat, happy ending.

Khadak=Le signe des ancetres (tjr bon a savoir). On y voit le dÃ©sir de retour aux racines des paysans qui ont ete forces a partir de chez eux, a cause d'une contagion animale inventee par le gouvernement. L'histoire est simple. La symbolique est,elle, tres, meme trop presente: differents plans qui doivent signifier qqch sauf qu'on ne voit pas quoi exactement. Traduction svp
