"Devil's Backbone", a masterpiece by Guillermo del Toro, as well as his first film "Cronos",impressing of it's striking combination of different themes and the meanings. "Devil's Backbone" a new stage of evolution genius del Toro. This film is not just an amazing visual masterpiece but a drama of biblical proportions, I caught myself for connection to the 12 apostles and the Bible, gold Judas and his betrayal of Jesus. This picture is the pinnacle of genius Guillermo del Toro, the top of which will not be able to subdue anybody and never .

An atmospheric wonder of a film. Del Toro uses horror to enhance the film, rather than making it the film. The characters are engaging, and the symbolism is rich. One in a recent line of smart horror films (Sixth Sense, The Others) that hopefully signals a resurgence of an almost lost genre. Buy this, don't rent it.
