The story was good, but Is this really a horror/mystery/suspance movie? I couldn't stop laughing... Every time the kid would say "Nyahhhhh" i would crack myself in laughter... I haven't watch the american version but i hope its not like this one

Despite its fragmented, diffuse structure and obvious lack of a narrative center, this competent Japanese horror movie manages to create an oppressive atmosphere with an intriguing mystery that can be pretty disturbing sometimes, even if some of it also falls flat.

This was a film that I hadn't returned to since I originally picked it up as a blind-buy on DVD, and I have to say, it's still a solid ghost story, filled with a few great jumpscares and some eerie visuals. Giving this one another day in court made me want to revisit Takashi Shimizu's other films in the same series, as they're all roughly the same yet slightly varied. It reminds me of listening to different people tell the same urban legend in some respects.

Spooky chiller/Horror - and it's a really good one before Hollywood tarnished it's name with an inferior remake. Centres around a house with a Ghost with a Grudge - hence the name of the film! - so beware all those who enter!!
