The Convent is a quick and bloody ride with no redeeming values but more than enough laughs and innards, full of the tasteless blood-drenched humor that works best when seen with a group of drunken and stoned buddies. And this is obviously what was intended.

This movie is so horridly campy in an awesome way. And oddly enough, the characters die in a totally unexpected order! I adore the characters, the soundtrack, the camp. OMG.

Cheaply made, poorly acted, but completely delightful and also rather short. It's like mumble-core, only better. Also, best use of the song "You Don't Own Me," by Lesley Gore, ever.
