Extremely well done movie. I was on the edge of my seat from start to end. I really loved it.

I’m late to the the “retired Liam Neeson with skills” movie genre, but I’m finally trying to get caught up. (This is my second one. I just watched a Walk among the Tombstones, which was also good, but that was more of a more grounded psychological thriller.) Commuter was a really good time. I could see some people being thrown off by it because it starts off like an actually good movie, and then it kind of gets sillier and more ridiculous and becomes a bit of a howl at the screen kind of ridiculous fun action movie. If that’s your kind of thing, then the Commuter is really good. Just a very minor spoiler: it’s not like a Jason Statham movie. Liam’s character is not a highly skilled former navy seal or assassin or something. Just a cop who can hold his own. Still the action and the fighting are fun.

excellent, suspenseful action film. develops slowly, builds very nicely, things make sense as more and more is revealed, some great fight scenes and delivers exactly what one would hope for in this type of film, i have no idea why half the audience wasn't pleased with it. one could pick at a few things, but 3 billboards, which i also liked, and is an award season favorite, has a host of bigger implausibilities.

A good and traditional action movie with frantic action scenes, some cleverness in the story, and some suspense. The plot is serviceable and although it uses a lot of elements from other films, it uses them effectively if not originally. Overall, it's a simply enjoyable action film as long as you don't expect too much realism in the details.

A smart but sometimes mediocre, Luke warm typical Liam Neeson film. I enjoyed the movie, it definetly was something different and familiar from the Liam Neeson Camp. I have to say that I figured out the plot twist very easily. I don't know if it's because I've seen 1,000 of these types of films or because it was poorly woven into the movie. Either way, it could have been done a bit more intellectually. Other than the plot twist, the movie flowed very nicely and the acting was at a solid B+. There was a nice bit of humor as well as witty banter between Liam's character and the other passengers. Also the movie did a good job at making the situation and the character believable even though it was extremely far fetched. Overall I think that this movie is best viewed as a Saturday night family affair, complete with TV Dinners/Pizza Delivery and paper cups filled with diet coke.
