It's another story set 'around' the main story. Many questions are answered, but you have to pay attention to things going on on the side. The end of the movie answers a BIG question. However, the end of 10CL remains a mystery. Don't look for some deeper meaning and you will enjoy it.

An amazing way to tie the Franchise together. Cloverfield is a prequel set in the future. This is actually set in 2028. When the particle accelerator turned on it created a paradox that smashed together different times and dimensions. It also brought monsters into both dimensions. It was that paradox that woke baby Clover up back in 2008. It also brought Aliens to the other dimension (10 Cloverfield Lane) At the end of the new movie, they return to earth and see a fully mature Clover monster, because that is actually 20 years after the monster was woken up. It's a complicated time paradox. Think Terminator.

I really enjoyed this movie and the franchise up to date. As a stand alone find it can hold as its own but with the previous two movie backing it, it brings it to another level. This movie explained the past two movies and how the monster/aliens came to be. With the next movie on the way it will be intereating to see where they go from here. The greatest treat is that i would of paid the 13.99 ticket to the theatre with my 25 dollar snacks, but i got to watch it for free(uses my sister's netflix). I really recommend this movie.

This movie works decent as a prequel. As a isolated space disaster movies its great. I really enjoyed it. A lot better then what I expected thanks to the really bad reviews.

Loved the movie, super surprised it went to Netflix but live that it's immediately available as it was announced. The movie builds to the Cloverfield Universe and the ending is very satisfying to those that want more connection between episodes.
