Loved it as a stand alone movie. Honestly should of kept the ending different.

My wife and I picked this mostly at random from netflix and both enjoyed the film. obviously no blockbuster, but we took it at face value and as we aren't really following the cloverfield franchise, thought of it as a standalone flick. good twist, good humour, good sci-fi. i was really surprised by the negative reviews I've found afterwards. I must be going against the grain on this one.

If you watched the other Cloverfield movies and liked them, you will be equally satisfied. If you watched the others and did not like them then I would ask why are you watching the third installment. And if you did not watch the others then you have no basis for complaining at this point. Personally, I have enjoyed the series so far. The stories have been interesting and there is basically a conclusion with a breadcrumb at the end. I will admit I am hoping there is at least a final installment that concludes the series where we get a more concentrated dose of the monster, which I believe was the original intent.

If you treat all the films as stand alone films, you won't appreciate this one. Upon further inspection of Cloverfield Paradox, you begin to see how all the movies are connected while being separate simultaneously. Amazing prequel and sequel at the same time. I took delight in this paradox. "The future unleashed everything".

I'm surprised by the poor ratings on here. I enjoyed the cast, setting, and movie overall. It wont blow your mind with new concepts, but it was entirely enjoyable.
