Not as good as you'd think, considering the cast. It tries to trick you, but "twists" just make me annoyed at this point.

The plot is just an excuse for the actors to go head to head leaving you with a somewhat entertained experience.

Great! Made unlike any other movie on the particular subject. Very intelligent conversations and utterly hopeless situation for it's main character.

Kidnapping movies invariably crescendo to a fever pitch of procedural complexity. At a terse 91 minutes, The Clearing offers the reverse, a movie that only grows more conceptually minimal as the clock ticks down.
