Corny and dated drama about women participating in a Kinsey-like study. I'm sure it was pretty edgy stuff in 1962, but now feels more like a tepid Lifetime Channel movie. However, the melodrama gets a classed up by a stellar case (Shelley Winters, Jane Fonda, Claire Bloom, Cloris Leachman, Efrem Zimbalist Jr. and an uncredited Lesley Ann Warren) and by George Cukor directing and Darryl F. Zanuck producing.

Cukor's trashy melodrama about the sex lives of L.A. housewives suffered due to censorship, but it's worth seeing for Claire Bloom's performance as a nymphomaniac; Shelley Winters and Jane Fonda co-star

Only reason for one star is Claire Bloom's performance. Over the top sudsy melodrama. Can't believe this was directed by Cukor and such a good cast. Sorry excuse for a script. It's release is 1962 NOT 52! Duh, Jane Fonda would have been a child!

The Chapman Report is a disappointing film. It is about four women who allow themselves to become part of a scientific survey that examines their sex lives. Shelly Winters and Jane Fonda give horrible performances. The screenplay is badly written. George Cukor did a terrible job directing this movie. I was not impressed with this motion picture.
