Most accurate account that I have seen based on known facts uncovered so far.

A rock solid adventure yet also personal and sometimes tragic, Donaldson's 'Bounty' may be the best retelling yet. The keys to this lying in a terrific all-star cast before their big days, as well as gorgeous cinematography and some fairly tense sequences out on the high seas, be it between nature or between irate men.

Excellent writing, acting, direction, and production. A fantastic film.

Great acting from Mel Gibson, and Anthony Hopkins. Great to see Daniel Day Lewis and Liam Neeson in one of their early movies too. The story is quite realistic, better then in films before. The score of Vangelis gives it a special flawour, creating a strange atmosphere. I really like it.

Consisting of a cast filled with thespians and newcomers who would go on to shine on their own later The Bounty is a rousing sea story made all the more astonishing by the fact that it actually happened. Anthony Hopkins, Mel Gibson, Daniel Day Lewis and Liam Neeson star in this unforgettable tale of treachery on the high seas. Despite being well over three decades old The Bounty has lost none of its impact.
