Excellent movie! Viscious, more to the point- Clint Eastwood is yummy as hell in this movie!

A decent attempt at reversing Clint's macho image that never really follows through. Still deeply atmospheric, though.

If Pulp Fiction was the reason I went to film school, this was the movie I wanted to make when I got there. One of my all-time favorites. Also, Clint's personal favorite. Never seen a movie quite like this one.

A sexually-charged Southern Gothic masterpiece that's monumentally underappreciated. One of Eastwood's and Siegel's best films.

As if the premise of a dark horror/thriller set in the Confederate Civil War South wasn't amazing enough, this follows through and delivers in every way possible. From the very unique opening credit sequence to the very end, I was hooked, and even though I already had the ending ruined for me, it barely detracted from the enjoyment. The misleading packaging on the regular DVD box art dissuaded me from this for a while until I saw some footage on a documentary recently, but I'm glad I came around to it.
