This could have been a cool idea, the animatronics don’t look like Animatronics. They look like people in suits, this is what rlly hurts the film.

The Banana Splits Movie is a peculiarly fresh nostalgia trip and has just the right amount of gore to make this otherwise by-the-numbers slasher a surprisingly amusing experience.

More of a raspberry than a reboot, The Banana Splits Movie, available to buy (and later to rent) on multiple digital platforms, is far less crazy than it wants to be and far more soporific than a synopsis would suggest.
