This desire for the very latest lands him in much trouble with the wrong crowd, and it is up to his friends, Mole, Rat and Badger to save him from himself. - The Legend of Sleepy Hollow: Retelling of Washington Irving's story set in a tiny New England town. Ichabod Crane, the new schoolmaster, falls for the town beauty, Katrina Van Tassel, and the town Bully Brom Bones decides that he is a little too successful and needs "convincing" that Katrina is not for him.

It isn't the finest literary adaption, however, Ichabod Crane and Mr. Toad is undeniable Disney fun for kids and adults.

Excellent. Even if you didn't or don't like this movie, it is still entertaining with the plot's promise at hand. Containing two tales - one featuring a headless man who rides a horse, trying to kill a man named Ichabod for his head, the second about a frog named Mr. Toad and his magical journey. Based on the book, The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad is definitely worth your while, time, and money. For one thing, this film has the ability to transform the dark tones to the lighter tones, as of which it switches to a horror story, then to a peaceful magical story. Many films can't do this, resulting in something powerful. This is worth a watch.

As my old worn out vhs copy will tell you, I've been a long time fan of this glorious double feature. It combines two great stories and presents them in a near perfect form. Mr. Toad's segment is much like it's character; all kinds of crazy. At heart, it's just the adventures of a jolly little British Toad. The Sleepy Hollow segment is definitely something beautiful and one of the greatest spooky stories that's ever been properly adapted on an animated platform. Sure it has light-hearted moments, but I remember that it used to have some genuinely scary parts for kids. In truth, there's absolutely no reason these two stories should be presented together, but it sort've just works.

Disney Movie #9: The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. ToadBeing one of the first Disney films ever made, The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad showcases the true meaning of classic Disney characters. With two short stories, this film ends at good time, it leaves the viewer satisfied, not wanting more nor bored to death. Both stories are strong and charming and the animation is done marvelously. With two interesting well known tales, The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad is a movie worth watching.
