The beautiful princess Giselle is banished by an evil queen from her magical, musical animated land and finds herself in the gritty reality of the streets of modern-day Manhattan. I give this movie a top-class score because of its light-hearted jabs at the princess genre, a deconstruction of the same genre within the real world, and So Close, which is probably one of the most beautiful love ballads ever written.
