A horror classic, and still a standout amongst slasher films. It's not particularly scary, but there's a great sense of tension throughout. With its gory kills and cool setting it is easy to see why this one is so beloved. It's a great film. However age hasn't been kind to it thanks to the shear number of films that copied many elements from it. If you haven't seen it yet then be warned, it may feel cliche. However that's not really this movies fault. It was just so popular that so many slasher films have copied it over the years. The only real issue it has is that it's just not that scary. However that didn't stop me from enjoying it, and any horror movie fan who hasn't seen it really should. It's one that still impresses today. My total score for the film is an 8.3/10.

Friday the 13th is a really good horror movie with a great twist, great kills, and great gore.

Friday the 13th is neither tense nor frightening (although, to be fair, it is at times creepy and atmospheric, due in part to budgetary limitations that led to a low-key style).

Friday the 13th is a true 80's Film, ingrained into Western pop culture (Although Part 2, and 3 do it better). It lives off Nostalgia and controversy from its time. When Watching the film it makes you feel you in the '80s. The Acting is ok. Betsy Palmer is really good and to see a young Kevin Bacon is crazy. People go to see these movies for the kills (Again Part 2, and 3 did better). What people forget Friday the 13th comes from the Golden Age of slasher films and set the bar for Future parts of the franchise. It not for everyone, but if you get a chance give it a watch.

It is a great and scary movie it has good acting good death scenes and unlike most horror games and movie has good jump scares and it has Kevin Bacon. Overall it is a amazing horror movie and is a classic even though it can be obvious at times but is still one of my favorite movies ever.
