I really did not know what to expect when I bought this movie. The movie overall was pretty good. With everything from horny camp counselors to gory deaths. The story line was great! But one flaw was presenting who the killer was. No clues at all on to who the killer was at the beginning. All we knew was some crazy killer coming out to kill people. Not until the end of the movie.

Was pretty shocked at how completely awful the first hour of this is, slow pacing and low tension really drag it down. The final 30 minutes picked up a good enough amount for me to not completely dismiss it. Although that fight was more comedy than thriller.

I actually quite enjoyed this movie. It was an interesting movie, that delivered a fear factor that we rarely see in most horror movies nowadays. I recommend it to those who love to watch old horror movies.

Gruesome violence, in which throats are slashed and heads are split open in realistic detail, is the sum content of Friday the 13th, a sick and sickening low budget feature that is being released by Paramount. It’s blatant exploitation of the lowest order.

بالتأكيد لا يمكن أن نتحدث عن الفيلم كأول شكل من سلسلة لاحقة، على أنه فيلم عظيم أو يمكن مقارنته بالأفلام الضخمة إن كان بمستواها الفكري أو الثقافي أو حتى بالمعيار السينمائي كأدوات، لكن بالمقابل لا يمكن لنا إلا أن نعترف بأن الجمعة 13 كأول فيلم ظهر قبل أربعين عام تقريباً، ضمن أشكال أفلام الرعب كان مميزاً بأسلوبه وأدواته، وبطبيعة الحال السينما تخضع لفترتها الزمنية، ورغم مرور هذا الزمن عليه، ما زالت النسخة الأولى لليوم من الفيلم تحتفظ ببريقها في ذاكرة الناس، وهذه بالطبع ليست أمراً عابراً أعتقد أن الفيلم جيد رغم مرور هذا الزمن عليه Expand
