The scream queen has done it again! This time she pissed off a psychopath that can talk yet still wears a mask.

A college slasher/thriller set on a train, how is this not widely known by people... it was pretty good. The mysterious elements of the killer was creative and kept you on your toes. the imagery was creepy and had a very creative feel (unlike typical slasher films). The movie lagged in parts and some acting was subpar.

Terror Train is a good movie: good scenes, creepy at times, it keeps you guessing long enough, and the acting was good enough. I'm not rating it higher for two reasons: 1) the acting was a little bit better than average 2) the ending seemed too rushed to me.

Poor Ben Johnson; he wins an Academy Award in The Last Picture Show and less than a decase later he's in this low-budget Canadian "tax shelter" horror film. Its a bit better than some of the other films that were quickly made in the wake of Halloween (1978) and Friday the Thirteenth (1980). The plot follows a standard "slasher movie" trope of a sadistic college prank that goes terribly wrong. Three years later, a group of pre-med students all board a vintage steam train for a New Years Eve party. Hey, three years ago a number of these students participated in that sadistic prank (including an unwilling and unknowing Jamie Lee Curtis who is the heroine of the piece). David Copperfield shows up as a magician hired (along with a lame cover band) to provide entertainment. Lots of people wander into darkened rooms and don't turn on a light...
