Swept from the Sea (1998)

The film tells the story of Russian emigree and the only survivor from ship crash Yanko Goorall and servant Amy Foster in the end of 19th century. When Yanko enters a farm sick and hungry after the shipwreck, everyone is afraid of him, except for Amy, who is very kind and helps him. Soon he becomes like a son for Dr. James Kennedy and romance between Yanko and Amy follows.

A Wonderful friend told me to see this movie (I will let her pick out more for me).and am I glad I ever did. This is not just a romance movie. This is beyond that, with stellar acting by all, you wish the movie could go on. It shows how mean people can be to a perfectly happy couple. I was spellbound, its a must sea movie for all, if you enjoy films then get this one and you will give it no less then 4 stars. I have to give it 5 as its one of the best I have seen. Thank You Raimoyna

Decided to explore this newly found Vincent Perez-character a little more and found a romantic and sad story placed in a beautiful landscape on Cornish coast. Great cast, nice story and gorgeous scenery!!!
