Poignant coming-of-age story where kibbutz life wasn't all it was cracked up to be. Tomer Steinhof plays Dvir with great pathos.

Very moving film about youth, love, and isolation.

A bildungsroman where a young boy comes to understand his world of the kibbutz and his mother's depression. The film has powerful acting, a strong mix of characters, and a tone that moves gracefully between humor and seriousness. Overall, a wonderful movie.

The plot may sound familiar, but director/writer Dror Shaul makes it fresh with his vivid and often bitterly funny depiction of the film's setting, a kibbutz in the 1970s.
