Subzero (2005)

A device that controls a powerful Russian-made satellite weapon is stolen by Russian terrorists, who try to escape by flying out but are shot down. The device is now on top of K2. The device is still active and where it will strike is indeterminable. The good guys have to get to the device and deactivate it. Only trouble, it's winter and it'll be difficult to climb K2. A few of the best mountain climbers in the world are recruited to take techs who can deactivate the device to the top of K2. However, before the climbing party leaves, a team member dies, and it might not be natural causes. The group who stole the device might have someone on the team. But they still go on.

Poor acting and plenty of cliched characters/dialogue. Decent visuals on the mountain, but everything else is pretty weak.

This one gets stars for being hilariously bad: "If you think we'll need the world's best mountain climbers, then that's just what we'll have to get" The flashing cube making the binky bonky beepy noises nearly stole the show (as it lay on the North Face of K2, demanding rescue by the world's best mountain climbers, which would be suicide at this time of the year, but failure is not an option, millions of people could die, satellite blah blah). Also of note were the female Russian stereotype (oh, sorry, woman), and the fir trees that are apparently abundant near the summit of K2. Who knew?

Quite possibley the worst movie I have ever seen. Simple as that. It gets one star far a semi decent battle with that Russian guy towards the end. Still I hate myself to this day for wasting $5 renting this from Hollywood video.

This was aright coming down to the end. The dialogue needed some serious work. Who wrote the script for this thnig?! :S It's so typical of the american government to make a mess of something and then expect the whole world not only to feel sorry for them but to actual pay the price for their stupidity. Note well that I have nothing against american people but just the american governement. :-(
