Spare Parts (2015)

With the help of their high school's newest teacher, four Hispanic students form a robotics club. Although they have no experience, the youths set their sights on a national robotics contest. With $800 and parts scavenged from old cars, they build a robot and compete against reigning champion MIT. Along the way, the students learn not only how to build a robot but something far more important: how to forge bonds that will last a lifetime.

Good movie. Too bad no one made an effort to make it known that it's out in the theater's. Myself and my girlfriend had the whole theater to our self.

Very genuine local story. I think movies are expected to have a super great script but authentic stories like this one do not need it. Wonderful story, I'm fortunate to have graduated from Carl Hayden high school and now that true stories of real fighters are not going unnoticed.

I love the movie, it can really inspire others as a student as a parent and as the principal of an educational entity. Creative minds and technology is what is leading the world, as society we should be promoting higher education, parent teacher envolment with in our society in which most crucial elements are depend on science and technology. The movie also shows the reality of lots of undocumented people and one of their roles in the USA society.
