Sound of Metal (2020)

Metal drummer Ruben begins to lose his hearing. When a doctor tells him his condition will worsen, he thinks his career and life is over. His girlfriend Lou checks the former addict into a rehab for the deaf hoping it will prevent a relapse and help him adapt to his new life. After being welcomed and accepted just as he is, Ruben must choose between his new normal and the life he once knew.

A small film that hits big, Sound Of Metal is a gem you’ll want to bang the drum for.

the movie didn't have a special music score. it made the movie more realistic. and when I was watching it, I didn't realize the time passing.

Rock & Roll ain't noise pollution. It's amazing what was accomplished with a cast made up of little-known faces. The plot of a rocker who must face the worst of his fears: an irreversible condition of deafness, and how he adapts to his new condition has a lot to say in his favor, and those responsible for sound editing are the ones who take the lead merit, by credibly recreating the environment of deafness.
