The musicians that played in those sound studios.. simply remarkable. catch this flick while its in its limited release.. you will be happily surprised of what you will see and hear.

If you love music, it makes you want to invent time travel to go back and experience this place in it's heyday, go deeper into the albums that were made there and to just record everything on tape.

The best documentaries ar the ones where the creator is truly passionate about the topic he talsk about. This is certainly the case for Dave Grohl and "Sound City". Nirvana's legendary "Nevermind" album was recorded at the Sound CIty studio in Los Angeles - a turning point for the starting band and the at that time struggling studio. Grohl tells about the history of sthe studio, it's most prominent successes (Fleetwood Mac, Rick Springfield) and the people working there and building the heart of the studio. Also, at the core of the studio, is the Neve sound board. In the end, Grohl succeeds to show what makes music so great.

un documental que en mi opinion las nuevas generaciones deberian de ver,para asi saber lo que de verdad es buena musica,sonido de calidad e inigualable,por Sound City desfilaron las mejores bandas en la historia del Rock,desde Fleetwood Mac hasta Nirvana ...al final no me importa que me digan que soy viejo y me gusta musica antigua,porque eso para mÃ...es el mejor de los halagos.

Amazing flick... The movie contains a small but important slice of rock n roll history. Highly recommended for music fans. Dave's love of music bursts out of the screen and sprays all over the audience... he will be getting a dry cleaning bill from me (I'm never going to get that smell out).
