Deeply unpleasant. The people from Spain (Spainards?) make good horror films. Good Spainish horror films.

Impressively directed and superbly written, this is a thoroughly gripping and deeply disturbing Spanish chiller with a terrific central performance from Luis Tosar. It's also, for my money, one of the best films of the year.

Thoroughly unnerving tale that revolves entirely around its villain, a voyeuristic concierge who's as patient as he is disturbed. What's more surprising is that you start feeling bad for him thanks to the superb performance by Tosar.

Apesar de haberse omitido varios detalles, personajes y darle un giro final muy diferente al del libro, el director Jaume Balaguero junto con el autor Alberto Marini logran traspasar a la pantalla grande la esencia del libro sobre todo haciÃ (C)ndole justicia al personaje principal Cesar (Cillian en el libro) interpretado magistralmente por Luis Tosar.
