Seven Days to Noon (1950)

When Professor Willingdon becomes wary of the nuclear weapons he is helping build, he steals a warhead and threatens to detonate it in London in seven days unless the government begins nuclear disarmament. As Willingdon goes into hiding, Detective Folland of Scotland Yard sets out to find him. Willingdon's daughter Ann also joins the cause, hoping she can talk sense into her father before he causes a catastrophe.

Quite a strong movie from the Boulting Boys. The dark intensity of the film is managed well throughout and shots of quiet abandoned London was very well done and eerie. The threat of Nuclear war was very much alive in 1950 so would have made an impression on the days audience for sure

wow umn just seen this movie 4 the 1st time n think that this is a good movie 2 watch,.,...its got a good cast of actors/actressess throughout this movie...i think that andre morell, barry jones, hugh cross, olive sloane, sheila manahan play good roles/parts throughout this movie...i think that the director of this classics/drama movie had done a good job of directing this movie because you never know what 2 expect throughout this movie.....i think that this is a good black and white movie 2 watch its really powerful movie 2 watch but its really good movie 2 watch with a good cast throughout this movie

Although I think that we were meant to feel sorry for the mad scientist, I found him intensely irritating and was glad that he got shot. Got some scenes which were used in the film "The Quatermass Experiment".

A solid, timely thriller that's been borrowed from by other types of films, from the red wire-green wire suspensers to things like 28 Days Later. Well-done in general, even if the procedural aspects are a bit dull.
