Good story, good stunts, good gadgets, good Bond.

Perhaps what was the greatest year for Bond fans worldwide not only was Roger coming back for round 6 as 007, but also Sean Connery was reinstating his own License with another studio. Moore vs. Connery! Which Bond would come out on top? Why of course it was Roger who was #1. Perhaps the last great Bond picture that came from Moore. Moore brings along a terrific cast, humorous one-liners and tons of action! Maud Adams stars as the title character and main Bond girl. The yo-yo saw was a new and nice gadget to see, even it wasn't from Bond. However I doubt that Bond was Tarzan at one time. All-in all another solid performance delivered from Roger!

James Bond (Roger Moore) takes to the air and takes off to Germany, Cuba and India to solve the mysterious murder of Agent 009 (Andy Bradford) and discovers a plot to smuggle an atomic bomb into an American air force base using international Jewel thief Octopussy (Maud Adams) as a cover. also stars Louis Jordan, Kabir Bedi, Kristina Wayborn, Lois Maxwell, Robert Brown, Desmond Llewelyn, Steven Berkoff and Vijay Armitraj. directed by John Glen.

MI6 agents dressed up as clowns running around chasing a Faberge egg owned by terrorists. That's definitely a statement, and the grandiosity of the circus climax (as well as all of the action preceding it) is unmatched. Despite all of the camp elements, the plot is more believable and Moore's Bond is genuinely concerned about innocent lives. Perhaps if Octopussy came out earlier in the Moore era, it would've made a bigger splash.

In spite of most of the bad reviews of the film, I liked it, I thought it was the best movie in the James Bond saga with Roger Moore, it had fantastic special effects, interesting and captivating story, good gadjets and great characters. I just did not like the weak motivations of the villain and I also did not like the BondGirl (which is one of the worst). I recommend it.
