It was good, just not as good as it could have been.

Very strange in the way it makes you mourn the death of romance and adventure. This movie takes the Robin of your childhood and shows you the reality of it all. Just so downright weird, that it's a shock. To me, this is the best and most historically accurate robin hood film and perhaps also the one with the most feeling. Despite the fact that it depicts robin hood in his later years, to me sean connery pulls off way more charisma than other robin hoods. Hepburn and Connery have a chemistry that leaves you howling at the films shock of an ending. I could have sworn I was watching a tragedy.

All around wonderful production. The only oddity is the sequence with Ian Homles as King John who seemed belong to another (typical) "Robin Hood" movie.

Very likeable and funny deconstruction of the Robin Hood myth from the director who brought you a very likeable and funny deconstruction of The Three Musketeers. Obviously influenced the hugely inferior Robin Hood: Prince Of Thieves.

Robin and Marian is a hybrid movie, one that seems embarrassed by feelings; yet it works best when it admits those feelings, when it plays them straight.
