Gets better every time I watch it. How does that happen? Do yourself a favor and make sure you watch the director's cut.

The beginning is a little slow-paced, but as soon as it picks up, it takes you on an amazing ride through the 12th century. With solid performances from the cast, especially Edward Norton as King Baldwin, this film is a great historical epic. Mind you, this review is based on the Director's Cut of the film, which brings new light to the poorly edited theatrical version. Five out of Five.

Be prepared for over three hours of harsh and brutally portrayed life, which is terrifically acted. Intimacy of the photography captures the intensity of the story as the actors give out the emotions of the person played. This is a luxury film that is truly worthy of the time. Nibbles: Platter of Figs, Dates, Grapes, Pomegranates, Cheeses and Humus after all it is a long film.

To truly appreciate this film, you must watch the Extended Director's Cut. Coming in at just under 4 hours, it is a film you need to plan your day around. I think its Ridley Scott's best movie after Blade Runner and one of the best films in the last 20 years, certainly one of the best unseen films of all time.
