Surprisingly decent set up for a B-western. Set in a US Cavalry fort out west during the outbreak of the Civil War, tensions begin to rise between the loyalties of the Northern and Southern soldiers at the fort. Each side beings scheming to take control of the gold and guns store there, but things get complicated when there is an impending attack by the Sioux. The film does devolve into a standard offensive cavalry vs. indians picture, but the initial tensions between Union and Confederate loyalists on the cavalry make this a bit better than most of it's ilk.
