This is a wonderful and very beautiful film not like anything I've ever seen before. Yon Jung - Hee is mesmerizing and her performance is moving beyond words.

Yun Junghee gives one of the best performances I have ever seen on screen. The film, itself, is so perfectly executed that it's impossible not consider it not only Chang-Dong Lee's best work, but also one of the best films of its genre. 9.8/10

Perhaps would have been a more interesting selection to represent Korea at the Academy Awards, Poetry is very different to what I expected. Give Jeong-hee Yun a Best Actress nod for her interpretation of a grandmother coming to terms with the suicide of her grandson's classmate. Requires more than one viewing. Definitely.

Realistic and honest drama that greatly portrays realistic problems of life that we are too busy to see. Poetry brings us real drama topped with solid acting that really gives us something so captivating yet so sad.
