Sam Rockwell's charm gives this pic its deserved kudos.

I thought this was a really funny, yet disturbing, original, and somehow powerful movie. I was looking forward to something from the same author as "Fight Club", and the story has all the quirky characters, funny voiceovers, strangeness, and graphic grittiness of "Fight Club", but a much less slick, less hip/trendy visual style. I recommend it. But not to be watched with kids or your parents.

Certainly there's a nihilist streak on Palahniuk's sleeve, but as Clark Gregg's adaptation of his 2001 novel shows us, up that sleeve seems to rest the heart of a tortured romantic.

First off, to all who have read the book and know the author. NO FUCKIN ADAPTATION IS AS GOOD AS THE BOOK FROM HENCE ITS ORIGIN! So get over it. The whole point of this movie is perception and those who can't read between the lines or are easily offended by sex do not watch this movie you will hate it. Clark Gregg did a pretty good job picking the cast I couldn't see anyone else playing Mr. Mancini he gives off the vibe of slick, quick witted and creepy just like the book. This is a comedy for those who know how to read books without pictures. If you want slapstick do not watch this film. This book had to be one of the hardest to turn into a movie and I could actually stomach this adaptation, it was quite palitable. See the movie but read the book you won't be able to put it down.

Nothing close to the book, and yet I still watch it whenever it's on tv. I still think it could of been so much better but then again that would of meant hollywould to make an NC 17 movie and we all know they shiver at that rating because all they want is money and nothing true to what the origanal material was....
