Awesome film that never failed to entertain. At times it felt self-autobiographical, which makes sense if you know me.

Since I'd heard very little about the movie when it came out I wasn't expecting much. One of the nicest compliments I can give Choke is that I hate to say almost anything about it because it's best discovered from the beginning. Be forewarned that it's an explicit movie about an AA group for sex addicts based on a novel by the author of Fight Club. It's probably best enjoyed late in the evening with friends and possibly beer. But as those kinds of movies go, it's a winner.

Very offbeat film about sex addiction. It doesn't really attempt to succeed in conventional terms, so it's kind of hard to say whether it's a failure or not. I found it weird enough to be interesting. It's not at all a sexy movie (the opposite, really) if you're thinking of something spicy for a date. Gross and awkward, but very funny and genuinely sad.

I really liked this movie. The guy who wrote the novel also wrote the novel Fight Club, so it is dark material. Sam Rockwell who seems to still be underrated does a great job, again. If you liked Fight Club you will like this or if you are just looking for a love story about a sex addict who manipulates people to earn money, you should enjoy this too.
