the ultimate British counterculture film....similar American films would include "Easy Rider" and "Vanishing Point"....this film is more explicit, and perhaps has come to be more influential over time....Mick Jagger is brilliant in this, and James Fox?? After this film, he never did anything else for nine years. Unbelievable. This film will come at you from left field, and will blow you away. You have been warned.

this movie has anita pallenberg and mick jagger, and this cute little french girl, and its fucking amazing. "The man's dead, and who's left holding the sodding baby?"

Freaking amazing. Jagger and Fox have some creepily awesome chemistry, and everything really takes off when Fox's character gets to the lovenest. French girls, mushrooms, and mobsters! What more could you want?

the film reeks of Sixties avant garde style in an engaging sort of way and still comes across as a hip exploration of the kind of life us normal people can never have.
