Pacino as a gay - whatever next delayed release because of the Twin Tower scene

[b]DVD[/b] First Viewing, 1 Algrant film seen [i]People I Know [/i]is a fine example of how a director makes an actor. Al Pacino is a good actor, but his performances are never noteworthy unless the director is someone like Coppola, Michael Mann, or Christopehr Nolan, etc. This film has so much going against it. A) A director who did episodes of "Sex and the City" - B) A party scene in the first 15 minutes (BIG NO-NO) - C) Don't mention celebrities names in a film in which celebrities star in!!! When Al Pacino talks about "Regis" it is too obvious that we are watching Al Pacino in a movie. We are not watching his character.

Man, didn't have high hopes for this movie which was a good thing. This is one of the lesser known Pacino movies and for a good reason; it wasn't any good. Pacino did some okay acting, nice to see him play the old helpless role, but nothing really to see here, from anyone.

It's fun to hear Pacino speak with a southern accent for about five minutes. Short of that it's a disjointed snoozefest.

[font=Comic Sans MS]This was not one of Al Pacino's best movies. I mean, he was good but what was the plot in this? Where was it? It made absolutely no sense! Okay, he's a publicist who helps out one of his clients, played by Ryan O'Neill, to help some woman who got in trouble (Tea Leoni). Pacino helps her and she ends up dead. All over some "toy"? Why was Kim Basinger in this? What purpose did she serve? This movie, to be blunt, was stupid. Definitely a rotten one! [/font]
