Wonderfully tense chase movie over India. Great set of actors on top form.

High production values,good acting and a not uninteresting story are pluses but the film seems to go on forever. A little editing and a quicker pace would have helped immeasurably.

It may not be another 'Lawrence of Arabia,' yet it has an excellent cast of characters and plenty of rousing excitement and stirring melodrama.

A good film to watch on a wet Sunday afternoon. Kenneth More in good form with Lauren Bacall as the surprise love interest, a long, long way from her sultry performances with Humphrey Bogart.

Inexcusable racist claptrap, ok. But also, Dammit, Dashed entertaining. Although Kenneth More is a bit wooden, he also has massive screen presence and is always fun to watch as the unthinking representative of a soft hearted empire on the decline, pitted against some pretty dastardly enemies and odds in India
