Lenzi's movies never fail to entertain, and this one is so blissfully idiotic that it's impossible to be annoyed by its frequent inconsistencies and moments of laziness and ineptitude. Even the slipshod oatmeally make-up job on the zombies is part of its absurd charm. Stiglitz, by the way, is utterly wooden in his role - and only part of that has to do with the movie's wretched dub job. Some of his scenes really, really drag.

The worst zombie make-up of any Italian film (yes, even worse than Burial Ground). Why Umberto Lenzi has any fans remains a mystery to me. However, anyone who thinks running zombies were first seen in 28 Days Later should be bound and forced to watch this (Clockwork Orange-style, if need be).

Even though the zombie makeup wasn't too spectacular, this movie had great laughs and an interesting twist ending.

This was a lot better than I thought it was going to be. Umberto Lenzi crafts a very interesting film that doesn't really slow down. It isn't really a zombie movie, it's a group of atomic super people. They attack and if you survive their attack but are wounded by them you become one. Hugo Stiglitz is good as the reporter who tries to break the story and save his and his wife's life. There are twists thrown in near the end which to me took away from the movie but it was still interesting. Have to say there is a lot of nudity in this as well which is nice.
