Niagara (1953)

Rose Loomis and her older, gloomier husband, George, are vacationing at a cabin in Niagara Falls. The couple befriend Polly and Ray Cutler, who are honeymooning in the area. While Ray initially thinks Polly is overreacting, things between George and Rose soon take a shockingly dark turn.

The producers are making full use of both the grandeur of the Falls and its adjacent areas as well as the grandeur that is Marilyn Monroe. The scenic effects in both cases are superb.

This is my favorite Marilyn Monroe film; of course I've never seen "The Misfits". Anywho, I feel that I can take her seriously in this movie. The cinematography is complemented by the picturesque location. This movie feels as though it were all at once a thriller, a love story (albeit dark) and a morality tale: noir. A largely underrated if not underappreciated film.

Marilyn steals the movie despite only being in approximately half of it. She's never looked better and been more conniving. Loved the blue suit and white blouse combo. Not to mention the see through purse.

Fantastik film og det spil der i den er nok noget er det bedste jeg læænge har set!

A good thriller with Monroe, taking place around Niagara falls. Good story, I liked it.
