great film!good quality "real" dialogs,rich insight to emotional burden of relationships basically..liked the photography a lot..and Norah Jones took me by total surprise.

Wong's beautiful frames, filled with windows, lights and colors and a dazzling array of sounds (from distant thunder to tinkling bracelets) establish his all-important mood

Such a nice movie. And not "nice" in that weak sense it usually has. But in the best, most meaningful sense. This movie is romantic, can't deny it. But not one of those romantic films for which "romantic" is the only adjective that may define them, those mind-numbing films which seem to search trough your dumb, immature side. No. This is an INTELLIGENT piece of art. Intelligent, because it doesn't focus on what happens between the two lovers, but in the inner journey that is necessary for each one of them to be ready to fall in love. And it's art, because (thanks Won Kar Wai and his director of photography), the movie is visualy amazing, colorful, almost hipnotic. You'll like it. And, well, if you don't, at least you'll appreciate its not being a normal film, and its not underestimating the viewers intellectual and emotional capacity.

a delighted surprise. The cast has some of my fave actors / actresses, and their interpretations of their characters were awesome. i esp like the photography and presentation, using some unnoticeable details to say a great deal about the plot, eg the doorknob at the cafe. This movie is so romantic, but not in a corny way. it made nyc look warm and romantic. i just loved one of my fave cities in the world a bit more now.
