sequel to Monsters, and very similar to Alien Outpost, in its attempt to show what war is like when you are the alien while protecting people who may not want your protection.

For all of its differences Green's film at least feels like a spiritual successor to Evans', and providing you make it through the first half (it's a long one), there is still plenty to admire.

I found this to be one of the most thought-provoking takes on a war movie in some time. Although it's been slated, I personally thought it was better than had been reported. It's comments on the confusion of modern warfare, the situation in the Middle East, and human behaviour in the theatre of war, are all very insightful and refreshing. Oh, and there's huge monsters. Always good. It uses the backdrop of a sci-fi film to look at the confusion of modern warfare, and I think does it in a very powerful way. Worth a look.

Very interesting film. The only good thing or positive I can give was the sound effects. It was unreal. I mean like everytime, I saw the monsters and the characters were fighting off the monsters, the sound effects, just WOW. The rest thou was completely and utter rubbish. The plot unpplottable. Plot hadn't a notion. I understood, it was spoz to be whereby they try and stop the monsters. However they added a war element to it. Complete and Utter Disgrace.
