Midnight Lace is a wonder movie triller, but the year they wrote down it was made is totally wrong and needs to be changed I believe it was released in (1969) not 1996.

INTRIGUING STORY, WELL WRITTEN BUT MARRED BY A MELODRAMATIC PERFORMANCE BY DAY. SHE GETS DOWNRIGHT ANNOYING IN THE FILM, AND I AM A FAN OF HERS! STILL, THE FILM HAS SUSPENSE. GREAT TO SEE LOY IN ONE OF HER LAST ROLES.

It's genuinely creepy--if the high-pitched voice that terrifies Day doesn't unnerve you, then you're made of stronger stuff than I am (which is altogether possible). It loses steam due to a fairly predictable plot, but it's still a fun ride.
