Midnight Lace is a wonder movie triller, but the year they wrote down it was made is totally wrong and needs to be changed I believe it was released in (1969) not 1996.

INTRIGUING STORY, WELL WRITTEN BUT MARRED BY A MELODRAMATIC PERFORMANCE BY DAY. SHE GETS DOWNRIGHT ANNOYING IN THE FILM, AND I AM A FAN OF HERS! STILL, THE FILM HAS SUSPENSE. GREAT TO SEE LOY IN ONE OF HER LAST ROLES.

If you can find this movie (and I did!), you'll love it. A very rare performance by Doris Day - most of you are probably too young to know who she is. I highly recommend it.

this was a long way off of doris days usual films. had a very hitchcock feel to it at certain parts while maintaining cliche upbeat music of most 60s movies during other parts

Okay thriller about Doris Day being stalked by a mysterious caller. The story doesn't seem all that credible, but this is a Ross Hunter production, the man who brought us the supremely slick Douglas Sirk melodramas and a number of other well crafted Hollywood films, which help smooth over this film's weak script and credibility problems. It also doesn't hurt that you have a strong cast that includes Rex Harrison, John Gavin, Myrna Loy, and Roddy McDowall.
