Two stars for the first half, four for the second. Both halves are less successful than Charade in every way.

Stanley Donen's follow-up to Charade is not quite the tour de force the earlier film was, but even with Gregory Peck and Sophia Loren standing in for Cary Grant and Audrey Hepburn, it's a slick and satisfying entertainment.

anything that has Sophia in it is worth watching! i love this movie!!! the chemistry between Gregory and Sophia is undeniable in this film.

This is a great romantic thiller from the director of 1963s 'Chrade' Stanley Donen. Gregory Peck is terrific as a professor who get's caught up in a murderous plot. He's accompanied by Sophia Loren who may or may not be on his side. Contains dazzling cinematography by british cinematographer Christopher Challis and a great music score by Henry Mancini.

Do we ever figure out why the "bad guys" want to know what the hieroglyphics mean? I can't recall, and I don't think I understood this movie when I saw it. Maybe I need to watch it again, but this movie is really confusing, and boring at times. You'd think that Peck and Loren would bring some life to it, and I think they try, but the movie just isn't that good.
