"Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World" Far and away one of the best timepiece movies made in the past few decades. All the characters, whether significant to the story or peripheral, feel authentically portrayed.

true to the Patrick O'Brien books. Sharp historical detail, strong characters, lots of action and some humor.

Sweeping and atmospheric, do not do this movie justice. Russell Crowe and Paul Bettany ham up the screen in this one of a kind maritime epic. Leads one to wonder why there hasn't been more of this kind of film being made.
