Husband and wife visit doctor,man with minor illness gets treatment and suddenly turns into a maniac...wifes reaction:"Doctor, he seems to be getting worse, instead of better."........

Very difficult to rate; a poor movie on every count, but somehow full of wonderful scenes and ideas. It has an unwholesome aura about it (also, I believe a cat was actually de-eyed in front of the camera).

A really odd film. It's sick, twisted, yet poor and rather bad. For a 30's film though, it does have some pretty shocking scenes. The characters are almost laughable, and the plot is a jumbled mess. Somewhat fun, somewhat interesting, but way too much exploitation for its time.

Classic B movie from the 1930s about a mad scientist who wants to bring the dead back to life. His assistant kills him and assumes his idenity & walls up his corpse in the cellar but then slips quickly into madness. The film though low budget cleverly incorporates clips from silent film horror classics to demonstrate his growing insanity. Amusing and clever for its time.
