the movie lacked in a lot of places. the dry humor, no storyline, and just overall meh. they don’t even emphasize on the whole magic thing and just seems like a cheap homemade video. i thought that the leading character theo’s storyline was not bad and actually pretty good but it wasn’t executed right in my opinion. just seems like a bland waste of 2 hours, it picks up in the final 10 minutes. it’s practically a rip off too disney’s bunkd, camp rock, or school of rock.

It’s about nice kids embracing their nerdiest passions, but Magic Camp can’t conjure up enough zing to put on the kind of show they deserve, something weird, something different, something even a little bit magical.
