Ernest gets a bad rap from most of modern-day America. And rightfully so when based off the majority of Ernest movies. But it's kinda like a band that has one good album instead one good album and a bunch of shitty ones. "Ernest Goes To Camp" would be more of a classic if he had never done another one ever again. The movie is the first of the franchise and has plenty of likeable and unique characters,while actually having a good plot and that classic eighties signature music throughout.

A three? This movie is what childhood memories are made of and people are giving this classic a 3? Jim Varney is hilarious and this particular installment is probably the best.

I'll give it 5 stars out of respect for jim varney and the fact that the other kids in this movie were probably never in another film again.
