Another brilliant performance of the sublime Anthony Hopkins, this time in real Jeff Dunham style, holding a doll (that looks like Anthony) while ventriloquizing and sometimes killing (in random order). Hopkins scares the hell out of me. With help of an other brilliant Englishman (Richard Attenborough) Hopkins can do nothing else than succeed being directed by such a talent.

Wonderful sweaters, strange accents, Rocky's trainer dressed like Hunter S Thompson a quite touching romance section and last of all a killer doll. It's magic for sure.

Less of a horror film and more of a psychological thriller/character study, "Magic" is an eerie excursion into the disintegrating mind of a ventriloquist madman, boasting great performances from Anthony Hopkins, Ann-Margret, and Burgess Meredith.
