You will never hear the song "Mack the Knife" the same way ever again after watching Lesson of the Evil.

Not bloody and poor storyline. The prequel is even better than this.

2/5 I didn't even know this was a Miike film when I watched it...weird. It doesn't work, but it was interesting enough for one viewing.

It's a good genre study and quite entertaining if you like it. But nothing more than this. The hints to teenage suicides and bullism are not balanced by any depth in character's psychology. And especially in the regards to the killer (yet another traumatized-born-evil-kid) that is a great minus.

Takes a while to get going, but when it does, holy crap. Hard to watch near the end.
