Great film about a great man. Hoffman nails Bruce completely. Not only in the stand up routines, but int he quieter moments with Honey and his child. Fosse does a good job of apeing Lenny's act, with fast edits, but this is Hoffman's film. One of his best performances

Bob Fosse's take on Lenny Bruce. A masterpiece. Critics should still talk and comment on this film it is one of the best pictures of the seventies I have ever seen and this film is one of Bob Fosse's best and Hoffman's acting best. A true landmark, yes it is.

Why after all these years is this film not memorable and barely known by the average movie goer??? i still dont know the answer. Lenny is a one of a kind film a drama that goes beyond the average limits. And is strongly anchored by two fabulous performances. The film feels like a documentary... Hoffman doesnt play Lenny Bruce... he is Lenny Bruce (or so it seems) truly a forgotten classic, check this one out 10 out of 10
