Ladies in Lavender (2004)

Andrea, a gifted young Polish violinist from Krakow, is bound for America when he is swept overboard by a storm. When the Widdington sisters discover the handsome stranger on the beach below their house, they nurse him back to health. A wonderful and lovely film. Smart and enjoyable English witt. Highly recommend for those who like a warm and smart film.

What can be better than a wet and miserable day outside, curled up watching 2 Dames at their best in this lovely film ? A heart-rending piece of music right at the end almost tugs out your beating Aorta and you cry with Dame Judi half way through. A great debut for Charles Dance and Miriam Margoyles is great as the wise-cracking domestic help.

This movie was all about mood and acting. just the whole tone of the movie was so beautiful and peaceful. the music of course was amazing. a little slow paced, but no gilles wife. and if your looking for another plus, daniel is pretty cute

It doesn't matter what age you are, you can still fall in love. Beautiful story and I love Judie Dench in this film.
