I actually wanted this film to move more slowly so that I could savour it visually. I'm also blown away at how Jeanne Moreau is able to tell you an entire life story with body language and facial expressions. The film is much better than the first in the series 'L'avventura'. I can see why it was one of Kubrick's favorite films.

Masterful character study of a couple in crisis by Michelangelo Antonioni! Marcelo excels once again in the leading man role. Monica Vitti wasn't it this one much but she still shined bright. Memorable performance. Jeanne Moreau was also beautiful and sensuous in all her neurotic confusion state.

Its my first Michaeangelo Antonioni flick.And I must say I'm pretty impressed by this moive.Mainly because it had potential to get sappy at parts but Antionioni manges to make a riverting piece of work.I'm impressed.And i sure do want to see more!

first movie i saw from antonioni. and i really liked it. a bit too much dialogue maybe but there was a cool atmosphere. dialogue was intellectual, but also humorous& poetic.
