Grudge Match becomes less a celebration of the real and fictional characters from boxing past (La Motta was a real person) and more a critique of society's bloodlust.

funny than I was anticipating. But both Stallone and Denero are not what they used to be.

The film is shamelessly obvious and occasionally misguided, but Stallone gives it genuine emotional heft and Alan Arkin, as Mickey stand-in Louis "Lightning" Conlon, provides lots of laughs.

Great fun movie, Silvester Stallon still has some carisma for comedy and together with Deniro, even better. Nice to see Kim Basinger too, she is looking old though.

I love De Niro and Stallone, but I think Jon Bernthal is great in this film, suppose it could be my love for Shane on TWD, but his portrayal of Dr Niro' s son are by far my in my my opinion the best parts of the film.
